Here's something new ... The AcuFast System

This is the result of one of the things that I realized was missing from LiteningFast and finally did something about. I call it The AcuFast System. You're going to call it amazing. 

The step by step procedures in The AcuFast System are going to show you exactly how to enter your bills so the expenses are tracked to your jobs and how to enter your employee hours so their time and expense is tracked to your jobs. You're going to learn what reports to look at, how to analyze the results. You'll find out how to make adjustments to your entries, if required, and how to adjust your production rates and prices in LiteningFast so you don't make the same mistakes over and over. See below if your version of LiteningFast hasn't been updated since February of 2002.

We've added a new feature in Item Edit. When you're entering Labor Hours, you can now enter it as minutes, e.g. 5m (the m or M indicates minutes). You can also enter units per hour, e.g. 20h (the h or H indicates per hour). In this case it's 20 units per hour or .05 hour per unit. If this was a wall for example the units would be linear feet. So, the production is 20 linear feet of wall per hour. 

This update provides a way of transferring items from the detail database into your regular item file. You can transfer frequently used items so they are easier to look up. We also have a new facility that allow you to copy items from a 20,000+ item catalog into your item file. This is an extra cost item. 

This upgrade allows you to transfer estimates directly from the Print Estimate screen to Microsoft Word & Excel. It also allows you to export from the Estimate Entry screen to Excel.

You're also going to notice that the buttons have changed, the old ones had a problem with Windows XP. We've also change terminology "Classes" are now "Sections". This was done so that we are closer to industry terminology and to eliminate the confusion between our Sections and QuickBooks "sections". To modify estimate lines in the estimate entry screen requires a double click. To select an item to edit it requires double click in the Item List screen.

It also is designed to integrate directly into QuickBooks 2002 & 2003. It provides a higher level of integration based on new capabilities that QuickBooks has incorporated into their software. After you install this version, make sure QuickBooks is started before you click the QBooks Button to start the update.

If you haven't downloaded an update to your LiteningFast Estimating since February 2002 and you're now using QuickBooks 2002 or 2003 download and install this interface software. This will allow you to connect your LiteningFast Version 6 directly into QuickBooks 2002 or 2003. The interface is cleaner and requires fewer steps to integrate with QuickBooks.
