Build Assemblies

When you have items that you use together regularly, you can build an assembly. This means that when you estimate, you choose the assembly, and all the pieces that make up the assembly are automatically included. For example, let's say you have a 2x4 Framing assembly. The assembly would include the studs, top and bottom plates, and even the nails, if you want. You could also include exterior wall sheathing and the insulation. So, when you are doing a takeoff using this assembly all of the items listed, and the labor, would be included in the cost. You do one takeoff and all the pieces are included.
